The Mabry Elementary PTA Health & Fitness Committee sponsored its fourth annual Walk Your Child to School Day on Oct. 8, with more than 500 students participating. Radio Disney provided music, and Body Bash Boot Camp, Tiger Schulmann's Karate and the YMCA provided health and fitness information and demonstrations. Xtreme Juice, Berryism, D'Lites Emporium and Vitamin Water distributed free food samples, and members of Plant High's girls' basketball team participated. Mabry students have extended the walking program, walking to school the second Wednesday of each month. ...more
