An unsuccessful robbery attempt Saturday night left two men wounded in Bradenton. The Manatee County Sheriff's Office said Maruo Perez, 34, Jose Vargas, 23, and Jose Louis Balderas, 30, were sitting in front of 4207 Eighth St. Ct. E. about 10:25 p.m. when a 20-year-old man came up and demanded money. After a brief argument, the robber fired several shots, striking Perez and Vargas before running away empty handed.
