I read a piece in the paper that Tim Mahoney helped sponsor a bill for tomato growers. Does he not remember when the growers dumped their tomatoes in the fields with no regard for anyone? Did they remember soldier and sailors homes plus others in need? Mexico was the cause of the problem with veggies. Let them take responsibility and pay for damages! This is part of the reason Tim Mahoney should be called one-term Tim plus other factors in his voting record. He has never helped the American people in their woes. Tim, in my opinion, has done nothing for our elderly, youth, working Americans, veterans gas and oil prices. He has never answered my question of how much oil is shipped out of country, how much they are paying for our oil per barrel? ...more

Following the Food & Drug Administration's (FDA) announcement that tomatoes were not the likely source of a recent salmonella outbreak, Congressman Tim Mahoney, D. FLA, has introduced a bill, H.R. 6581, to compensate tomato growers and packers nationwide for their losses due to the salmonella scare, which according to the Florida Tomato Exchange's estimates could be close to $100 million. ...more
