Recently, I went to Micky D's on U.S. 27 S., just south of Lakeview. Well, after I got my $2 food, I was promptly pulled over for making the right hand turn and across into the u-turn lane. Sounds okay to me, it says "right turn only" and I went right. So why did I get a $139 ticket? The officer said I was going into oncoming traffic. Huh? Not possible! There's a median strip; everyone does this every hour of every day! ...more

SEBRING — It's a typical hot, muggy summer afternoon Wednesday, and Maxime Copley is at the YMCA's swimming pool on lifeguard duty. She always had the 21 hours a week to do watch over the kids splashing about, but with school out, the rising Sebring High School senior now does a noon shift. Yes, Copley's busy, but her summer's not that much more hectic than the average student. Whether they need to shape up, fix up or earn enough so they can do all of the above, high school students aren't letting up even when the textbooks are shelved. Work, Play And Gas Money ...more

It is no wonder that Publix could afford to make this transaction due to their exorbitant prices.
