You will find that the county commissioners suggested that all government departments bring forth their projected needs for the future and submit expansion possibilities. You will find Susan Benton complied with that request with energy and foresight. I would like to recommend Susan Benton to be re-elected as sheriff of Highlands County. While in office she has brought her department into the 21st century. She has made officers more accessible to the public and she is intelligent and articulate. It's refreshing to have a sheriff who isn't a "good old boy," no pun intended. ...more
