Steve Chapman (Obama's 'My Pet Goat' Moment), so you are "appalled and disappointed" by what Barack Obama said? I, and I am sure many others, are appalled and disappointed by you and other bloviators such as Cal Thomas and Rush Limbaugh are doing your best to put a negative spin on anything the President-Elect says in a ridiculous attempt to somehow discredit him. The fact that he is a cautious and non-vindictive man, unlike the likes of you, does nothing to lend credence to your little temper tantrums over the right wing extremists being soundly defeated in recent elections. Had Mr. Obama immediately jumped in without doing a proper investigation into the matter, you would then be calling him a knee jerk. You are entitled to your opinion by those of us who believe in the Constitution (1st Amendment in this case) as does Mr. Obama. Not due to the actions of those who go out of their way to tear down everything done by good people who won't kowtow to them and their cronies. Obama's vacated Senate seat. ...more

It looks like the Democratic Party has nominated a socialist as their candidate for president of the United States. Recently Sen. Obama has stated that it is time to "share the wealth." The last time I looked that is a socialist philosophy. If you are not sure find the nearest dictionary and look it up for yourself. Sen. Obama promises a tax cut for 95 percent of households, even though only 62 percent of households pay any income tax now. Taxes would increase sharply for households making more than $250,000 a year, a policy that penalizes success. Profitable small businesses would be hardest hit. Obama even has the audacity to promise a tax break for businesses that create jobs, while simultaneously increasing taxes that would force some businesses to cut payrolls. ...more
