TAMPA A 20-year-old woman was arrested Friday night on a child neglect charge after authorities said she left her crying, 22-month-old son alone in a car while she chatted with a friend inside an apartment. Ashley Marie Stoneking, of 8812 Moran Lane, was being held at Orient Road jail today on $7,500 bail, records showed. According to a criminal report affidavit, Stoneking left her son fastened in a car seat with the engine off about 10 p.m. at an apartment complex at 4542 Sand Pointe Pl. A security officer observed the child crying and a dog jumping on top of him, the affidavit reads. A Hillsborough County sheriff's deputy responded and saw Stoneking inside an apartment talking on the couch with friends, the affidavit reads.
