AVON PARK — Wanting to experience in person the artwork they have been studying, the South Florida Community College Art Club members are heading to New York City this winter. But first the 14 students have to raise some money to make the $6,000 trip possible. Although they have done several fundraisers this year, their most popular one is coming up this week - the all you can eat soup bowl lunch. "Everyone around campus is really excited about it and looking forward to it," said Laura Wolfe, art club president. "They keep asking when it will be, so we are glad to have that support." ...more
