TAMPA -- The JCPenney store at WestShore Plaza mall was evacuated about 3:30 p.m. today after an escalator caught fire, said Tampa Fire Rescue Capt. Bill Wade. Smoke was reported inside the building, causing a two alarm fire. The remainder of the mall was not evacuated, Wade said. ...more
