After leading the Green Dragons to the Class 3A-District 8 runner-up trophy — the first trophy for LP girls soccer under her tutelage — Sottile was named District 8 Coach of the Year by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association. The surprise over Barack Obama's win in Iowa is interesting in that blacks are proud of the victory delivered by whites, given Iowa's 2 percent black population.
