It's the day after the 11:37 a.m. New Moon, and because of the late morning lunar timing, the intensity and duration of the nighttime feeding migration diminishes significantly with many fish participating in the daytime feeding migration. This is good news for the daytime angler who has been dealing with the majority of lunar events happening at night during the fall and early-winter seasons. Today is the third day after the full moon and also the tail end of a front which moved through our area slowly over the last three days. This is not good news for the fishermen. However, there is some hope if he knows where the fish have been recently, with an exact knowledge of the right place and time. Temperatures have been dropping, which is promising news since it means the pre-staging of bass starts soon if it already has not.
