With the region's drought conditions worsening, Tampa is still using millions of gallons of drinking water to keep lawns, cemeteries and flower beds green. April Hartseil was busy cleaning up along U.S. 27 Monday morning. The interim lead code enforcement officer for Highlands County was removing signs placed on the highway's right of ways over the weekend. Let's Take Back Streets I applaud Pinellas County for passing an ordinance that will hopefully put an end to people using their roadways and medians to collect money and/or sell goods. It is an eyesore, and for obvious reasons it is very unsafe for everyone involved. ...more
