I am outraged that our country would even consider amnesty for illegals at a time when our economy is in the state that it is. Our welfare, healthcare, senor citizen's care system is strained as it is and adding more to the system will be devastating to our country. Sarasota County would get two more years to find a new spring training baseball team to replace the Cincinnati Reds, according to legislation the Florida Senate is expected to take up this afternoon. State Sen. Nancy Detert, R-Venice, said she'll propose an amendment to Senate Bill 1308 that would essentially give Sarasota and Sarasota County two more years to build a new stadium. A Tampa man has been charged with defrauding a 71-year-old widow out of $19,000, Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink said today.
