SEBRING — After not playing varsity tennis last year, Sebring sophomores Nikhil Raghuveera and Kyle Komisar had quite an impact on the courts this season. Raghuveera, who played at No. 5 singles, showed steady improvement and managed to go undefeated with a 12-0 record for the Blue Streaks, which included winning the Heartland Conference title. SEBRING –– The Sebring boys tennis team accomplished something it hasn't done in quite a while by beating Booker 4-3 on Thursday at the Sun 'N Lake Country Club tennis courts. "It's been at least four or five years since this team beat Booker, and the kids were excited," said second-year Blue Streak coach Jack Holt. "It was a good win and it came down to the final doubles match. "We're a young team and this kind of win over a quality opponent is a good confidence builder." ...more

SEBRING –– After falling short of winning district titles last year, the Sebring High School boys and girls tennis teams are focused on reclaiming district supremacy. "We've got a nice blend of players on the team this year," said second-year Blue Streak boys coach Jack Holt. "We're fairly young with only one senior, but the kids have had a great attitude and have been working hard to prepare for the season."
