A Lake Placid woman is dead following a two-vehicle accident Thursday morning at the northbound intersection of U.S. 27 and Lake Francis Road. The crash happened at 8:25 when a 2006 Nissan, driven by Barbara A. Tardiff, crossed the northbound lanes of U.S. 27 from the median crossover and failed to yield to a northbound 2006 Mack dump truck, driven by Timothy S.
