Picking Palin to be his running mate was to McCain the perfect political choice, but using her family's experience in order to gain the fundamentalist votes will not be good for the fundamentalist cause, as it blows up their theory that teaching abstinence is the solution to teen pregnancies. Before Palin became a political pawn, women were supposed to stay home and teach their children family values, even to the point of home schooling.
