I am politically incorrect and proud of it! "Political correctness" is a sickness for wimps and those who are unable to think for themselves. They would much rather let the governments tell them how to think. ...more

Today I received a letter from someone who calls herself Abbie. I believe this is the second letter I've gotten from the mysterious Abbie. I suppose Abbie was upset about something I wrote to the Editor. At any rate, Abbie didn't bother to give me her return address; perhaps she had not the courage to do so. Turning to the phone directory I could find no such person listed. As someone said long ago, "I don't believe there is such a person." ...more

Mr. Watson's recent letter just typifies the liberal mindset with which we are so grievously afflicted. I suppose it is perfectly appropriate to vilify and demonize our president for the past eight years and to trash and ridicule the decent and honorable American citizen, Sarah Palin, but God forbid that we should say anything negative about the Democratic "Messiah." ...more

While Bud Morgan is entitled to his opinions, one is impelled to ask how Bud came to such a glowing opinion and endorsement of Sen. Barack Obama. It seems that Mr. Morgan's opinion is, to use Bud's own words, "without any substantial foundation." ...more

Keep those letters coming Mr. Moon. I enjoy them and I think they have a ring of truth to them. Do not be discouraged by the negative comments of Randy Ludacer. As far as Wesley Clark is concerned, he is not one of my heroes nor will he ever be. ...more

Regarding Mary Malool's recent misleading letter about gay marriage, she makes good sense until she stated, "People who are against gay marriage are trying to force their religious views on the rest of the country." I believe just the opposite is true. Marriage has historically been between one man and one woman, and although I am not religious, I believe it should remain so, for the good of this country and for the good of mankind. It is the gay minority that is trying to force society to accept a practice which is an aberration and morally questionable. ...more

In answer to Mr. Boyce about Republicans. It may come as a complete shock to Mr. Boyce that all politicians play that game, including Democrats. Let Mr. Boyce name one Democrat that hasn't flip-flopped when expedient to do so. It is something we have to live with. Let the buyer beware. Mr. Boyce states, "Republicans agree on continuing the war until we have victory." Is there something wrong with that? There is no proof that "The number of people living in poverty has grown during this administration." Most Americans have one or two cars and a couple of television sets. This is not "poverty." Jobs and factories began leaving this country during the Clinton Administration. Clinton was the one pushing Nafta. The only thing Democrats promise to do is to repeal tax breaks and to add considerable more taxes to already strained Americans. Democrats just can't wait to impose their "social programs" on the rest of us, and that means more and more new taxes. ...more

In response to Marian Perrin's letter and in defense of Jim, Gulledge's letter referring to Sen. Barack Obama being a Muslim. Marian Perrin's wordy biography of Barack Obama life history did nothing to dispute Mr. Gulledge's assertion about Obama, nor did it do anything to show or contain any information about Obama's qualifications to be the President of our country. Obama was elected to the Senate in Illinois, a state that has one of largest populations of Muslims in the country. Add to that the African-American vote in Illinois and you have the real reason why he was elected. On another note it's almost pathetic that the Democratic Party has such a poor choice of candidates for the upcoming election. ...more
