I tried borrowing enough money to get my debts paid off once and for all, but the banks said that it wouldn't work and they would not give me the bucks. They said you can't borrow yourself out of debt! I argued with them, that the House and Senate say that its good for the country to do this and have bailed out the banks so what do the banks know about lending money anyway? ...more

A modern-day Tea Party protest overtook downtown Tampa on Wednesday. No one spilled crates of Earl Grey into the already tea-colored bay, but there were a lot of American flags wrapped around shoulders and a few "Don't Tread On Me" flags flying in the breeze. The rally bemoaned the recent federal stimulus packages that bailed out bankers, investors and big-money industrialists. ...more

President Obama ordered the detention facility at Guantanamo closed within a year. Prior to the announcement a terrorist known as Said Ali al-Shihri who was released after spending six years inside the U.S. prison camp and is now the number 2 of Yemen's al-Qaeda branch according to a purported internet terror network statement. Although al-Shiri was released in Nov. 2007 and transferred to his homeland, he ended up in Yemen and is now reported to be working for al-Qaeda again. ...more
