LAKE PLACID — Fort Meade's size was too much for the much smaller Lake Placid girls basketball team to handle on Monday night, as the Green Dragons fell 53-25 to the Miners in a non-district meeting. LAKE PLACID — With three returning starters and an infusion of young talent, the Lake Placid boys basketball team is hoping to improve on last year's 10-16 record. The Green Dragons lost in the Class 3A-District 10 finals to Frostproof and ended their season with a loss in the regional quarterfinals against state power Florida Air Academy.
