I was sorry to see that three county employees were fired for what amounts to a minor infraction. As a taxpayer I think it's a waste of money to have to hire and train replacements for this type of infraction. I'm sure that now that it's been revealed that there are actually 22 employees, including some high level employees, who broke the same rule, that the powers that be will do the right thing, give them a reprimand and give these people back their jobs. To pick and choose who gets disciplined and who doesn't for breaking the "same rule" would be hypocritical. ...more
