For those who don't, here's the list OCTOBER The Apple Festival SEBRING The Palms of Sebring retirement community will hold its 12th annual Apple Festival Oct. 2, 3, and 4 in a different location this year. Due to renovations at the Palms of Sebring, this year's event will at Blough Hall at the Church of the Brethren, which is across the street from the Palms of Sebring, on the corner of Oak Avenue and South Pine Street. SEBRING — Six local dignitaries, officials and clergy spoke during a peace vigil on Thursday night at the Circle. Many in the crowd, which grew from 100 at the vigil's start, arrived early for the Heartland Idol competition, which followed the rally. The 10-member sponsoring organization, Peace of Highlands County Inc., was well represented. Catherine Blumenthal, president of Temple Israel, talked of love and read from the Bible.
