How many people read every last page in the Highlands Today? I did today; a nice quiet Sunday, and guess what I found? It was an announcement from the U.S. Navy. The Navy has announced that it has indefinitely suspended its plans to drop live bombs at the Avon Park Bombing Range; why? Well not because of the hundreds of signatures my sister and I were able to collect standing out in front of Big Lots last year, to protest it. Central Ave., will be filled with gas to terminate the destructive insects. The building's last termite tenting was nearly nine years ago.
