Farmer's Market Buffet has apparently closed its Sebring location. The large sign outside the restaurant, located at the corner of New Life Way and U.S. 27, said "closed'' Tuesday. A sign was also posted on the door saying the eatery had closed. Telephone calls to the parent company, Santa Fe Cattle Co. in Tennessee, were not returned Tuesday afternoon. ...more

It has been a while since my last article but I cannot stand by in silence as the city council will assess a fee on all homeowners. Brace yourselves and get ready to feel the wrath of the crown jewels. The crown paid $32,000 to come up with this fee and let's face it, it is a way to circumvent the reduction in taxes that was voted on and overwhelmingly passed by us the Florida taxpayers. ...more

SEBRING — Blaine Albritton kept walking his steer around in circles near Firemen's Field's midway Thursday. Blaine's steer, Billy Bob, seemed a bit anxious that morning, mooing and occasionally bucking as Blaine held to his lead rope. But as Blaine got ready Thursday morning to show and auction Billy Bob at the Highlands County Fair, Blaine, 10, was also a bit uneasy parting with him.
