Three gyms from the Bay area will send 20 local gymnasts to compete this weekend at the USA Gymnastics Level 9 Eastern Championships in Kettering, Ohio. Leading the way is LaFleur's Largo, with 10 gymnasts, and right behind them is the squad from the Tampa Bay Turners, which has eight athletes traveling to the top competition in Level 9 gymnastics. ...more

After picking up a point on a free throw at the beginning of the fourth quarter of the Class 5A-Region 2 final, Wesley Chapel's Cree McIver and Desiree Vizcaino each converted a 3-pointer.
