SEBRING – The Avon Park boys soccer team didn't walk off the field making excuses or blaming their season on anything but inexperience of soccer players who are finally learning to play as a team. SEBRING — The Sebring girls basketball had to win Friday night to clinch the top seed in the upcoming Class 4A-District 10 tournament. Think they knew? The Blue Streaks held Braden River without a field goal for the first 10 minutes and got five 3-pointers from senior captain Whitney Lee en route to a 53-26 victory over the Pirates, a blowout win that clinched the No. 1 seed and a first-round bye in the district tourney, which tips off Jan. 28 at Booker High School in Sarasota. ...more

BRADENTON — Sophomore forward Joe Young scored a team-high 21 points and pulled down 13 rebounds to lead the Sebring boys basketball team past Braden River 54-51 in Class 4A-District 10 action. Senior point guard Javier Medina added nine points to go along with seven assists as the Blue Streaks improved to 7-3 in district play. "I'm happy with the win," said Sebring coach Princeton Harris.
