GetMyNameOut.com announced the selection of Johnathan Knight to the 2010 High School Baseball All-Star game featuring top professional and college prospects from around Florida on Nov. 6, at 3 p.m. at historic Al Lang Stadium in St. Petersburg.

The game will be played during the St. Petersburg Waterfront Parks Centennial celebration memorializing the founding of St. Petersburg's waterfront parks.

Knight, a senior at Sebring High School, was chosen after being scouted over the summer by professional scouts and GetMyNameOut.

The all-star game will feature top baseball high school baseball players from the state of Florida, many of whom have been identified as draft picks for the 2011 and 2012 MLB draft, or have committed to elite college baseball programs. College baseball programs from across the US and Florida, as well as Major League Baseball scouts, will be attending the event to evaluate players.

The game will feature nine innings of play beginning with a ceremonial first pitch by Joe Arnold, former east coast scouting supervisor for the New York Yankees and former head coach of University of Florida and Florida Southern University where his team won two national championships. Coach Arnold recently retired from Polk State College baseball due to health reasons after a two-year stint as head coach.

Players for the invitation only all-star game were chosen after being scouted by MLB scouts over the last year.

"We are thrilled to be part of the continued success of high school athletes as they pursue their dreams of collegiate athletics and beyond," said Vince Farfaglia, Director of Operations for GetMyNameOut who organized the event. "Helping to bring these kids to the forefront and expose their academic and athletic talents on a national level is extremely rewarding."

GetMyNameOut.com (GMNO) was founded in 2006 to assist high school athletes and their parents gain exposure to college programs on a national level. Using a web based platform, GMNO provided members with the ability to create a dynamic web profile to submit directly to any college coach of their choice from GMNO's database of every college head coach in the country. Athlete profiles contain pertinent athlete information including academic information, video and athletic stats for college coaches to make instant recruiting assessments.

GMNO espouses three pillars for a successful college recruiting campaign; academics, training and exposure. Given the competitive nature of modern college sports recruiting, GMNO emphasizes the importance of its three pillar strategy, especially to the 95 percent of athletes who are not considered top college prospects but who are perfectly capable of competing at the collegiate level.

GMNO has been an integral part of many athletes receiving college scholarships. Our members have been recruited to some of the top Division I programs in the US, including Ohio State, Penn State, Notre Dame, UCF, Vanderbilt, and Michigan State. Most rewarding, however, are those member athletes who had no recruiting options prior to joining GMNO and have received scholarships to various DII, DIII and JUCO programs as a direct result of GMNO's assistance.
