Lake Placid senior Julie Shrewsbury won the 100 and 300-meter hurdle events and finished third in the pole vault to pace the Green Dragon girls to first place in Tuesday's track and field meet.
Lake Placid finished first in the girls meet with 67.50 points, while Avon Park placed a close second with 65, Sebring had 56, LaBelle came in fourth at 55 and Moore Haven rounded out the scoring with 45.50.
Moore Haven won the boys meet with 93, LaBelle took second with 73.50, Lake Placid had 55.50, Sebring came in with 51 and Avon Park finished fifth with 24.
Shrewsbury won the 100-meters in 16.75, while Green Dragon Taylor Miller placed second in 19.81 and Sebring's Tara O'Berry finished third with a 19.86.
Shrewsbury took first in the 300 meters in 51.60, while Miller placed second in 58.54 and Green Dragon Kaelyn Fort finished third in 59.16.
Fort, Taylor Clark, Yuribia Terrones and Rhonwen Gavagni combined to win the 4x400 relay in 5:02.19 and Green Dragons Amy Brewington, Marbelly Creel, Thalia Espinoza and Terrones teamed up to place second in the 4x800 in 11:58.00.
"I'm really pleased with the girls performance," said Lake Placid coach Scott Morgan. "Julie had a solid day and some of our other girls really stepped up against good competition,
"The kids have been working hard and I think they're even surprising themselves."
Sebring's Zykeria Dawkins won the 100 meters in 13.22 with Terrones coming in third with a 14.04.
Blue Streak Emily Smith won the 1,600 meters in 6:20 with teammate Caitlyn Moulds finishing third in 6:27.
Sebring's Lisa Przychocki won the high jump with a leap of 4-feet, 7 inches and Fort won the pole vault by clearing 6-feet, 6 inches.
Avon Park's Tia Nobles won the discus with a toss of 105-feet, 6 inches and the Red Devil athlete also won the shot put with a throw of 30-feet, 5 inches.
In the boys meet, Sebring senior JC Howard won the 200 meters in 23.15, while Avon Park's Ricky Powell won the 400 meters in 53.60.
Sebring's Connor Bauer finished first in the 1,600 meters in 5:02.00, while Lake Placid's Avery Young came in third in 5:07.00.
Young also placed second in the shot put with a throw of 38-feet, 3 inches.
Bauer placed second in the 3,200 meters with a time of 10:49.97 and combined with Colten Dillon, JC Howard and Javarius Sanders to win the 4x800 relay event.
Lake Placid junior Stephen Guelff won the 300 meter hurdles in 43.44, finished first in the long jump with a leap of 19-feet, 11 inches and placed second in the 110 hurdles in 18.12.
Green Dragon Devontra Fleming placed second in the high jump with a leap of 5-feet, 8 inches and took third in the 300 meter hurdles in 46.90.
Sebring's Rodney Harvey won the pole vault by clearing 11 feet, Blue Streak Caleb McGee placed second with an effort of 10-feet, 6 inches and Avon Park's Jack Bland came in third by clearing 9 feet.
The next track meet is set for today at Firemen's Field with Sebring hosting the meet.
"We've got more kids out for the team than we had in the past," said Morgan. "They're working hard and we're looking forward to the rest of the season."
