Braden River scored five goals in the first 20 minutes of play and cruised to an 8-0 mercy rule victory over Avon Park in the quarterfinals of the Class 4A-District 10 tournament game at Harllee Stadium on Tuesday.
The Pirates built a 7-0 half time lead before putting the finishing touches three minutes into the second half when Braden River scored on a penalty kick and will move on to face the winner of the DeSoto/Hardee match on Wednesday.
Avon Park managed just two shots on goal for the match.
