Candace Schepperle shot a course-record 7-under 65 en route to a four-day total of 13-under par 175 to win the 54th annual Harder Hall Women's Open on Saturday.
Schepperle, a junior golfer at Auburn University and a runner-up in this event in 2007, shot 31 on the front nine, which included five birdies, to take a seven-shot lead into the final nine holes.
The Tiger linkster eased around the back nine in 34 to finish seven shots ahead of 17-year-old Ameila Lewis of Jacksonville and Louisville University senior golfer Cindy LaCrosse who were at 282.
"I'm so excited to win this tournament," said Schepperle. "To have my name on the same trophy as some of the past winners means a lot to me." Jessica Korda finished fourth at 285 and Whitney Neuhauser came in fifth at 286.
