The legendary cars that have made history at Sebring since 1952 return to America's famed road racing circuit for this weekend's Sebring Historic Fall Classic.
Cars built by Porsche, Ferrari, Jaguar, Lotus, Alfa Romeo, and many others will compete in a variety of races, showcasing everything from exotic high-tech prototype racers to American muscle cars such as the Mustang, Corvette and Camaro.
Practice and qualifying were on Friday and the two days of action-packed vintage racing begins at 8 a.m. today with the Rolex Vintage Enduro event.
Fans will get an up-close look in a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of viewing and camping options.
The event has attracted more than 300 historic sports cars from North America and Europe and offers fans the opportunity to see the largest and broadest range of historic racing at the famed Sebring International Raceway.
Cars from the 1950s and 1960s will compete today and Sunday in various events, with the main feature of the event being the Four Hours of Sebring at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday.
The Four Hours of Sebring has a field of 75 entrants and the Fall Classic also includes two Rolex 1-hour endurance races.
Today's schedule includes a 1-hour endurance race for historic IMSA GTP/GroupC and WSC cars, which represent some of the fastest prototypes ever to compete at Sebring.
These prototypes will match some of the fastest speeds ever reached at Sebring, and with more than 30 entrants, is one of the greatest spectacles in historic racing.
Sunday's schedule also offers a feature race of the Historic NASCAR Winston Cup and Busch Series stock cars.
Tickets are $25 at the gate and racing action gets under way at 8 a.m. each day.
