Kysi Wooden's 13 kills were not enough to overcome a well-traveled St. Pete CC squad, which defeated SFCC 25-13, 25-23 and 25-14 in a Suncoast Conference match on Tuesday.
"We played really well tonight," said SFCC head coach Kim Crawford. "It's just tough when we're asking 18-year old kids out of high school to match-up against a contingent of five girls with international experience."
The Panthers are back in action today when they travel to face conference foe Pasco-Hernando at 7:30 p.m.
SFCC's next home game is Saturday, when they host Warner Southern.
