Sebring needed an 11-2 run in the fifth game against rival Lake Placid to narrowly escape with a hard-fought victory on Tuesday.
Lake Placid never gave up, as the Green Dragons rallied from a 2-1 deficit to knot the match at two games with an impressive 25-21 win to push it to a tiebreaker, but the Blue Streaks had a little more left in reserve down the stretch.
The Green Dragons swept the season series last year and were bent on repeating that feat, as they stormed out to a 25-12 first game win before the Streaks got back on track with two straight wins (25-19, 25-22), but were unable to put the feisty home team away in the fourth game.
