OKEECHOBEE - Clewiston's Trey Pruitt allowed one hit and one run in 3 2/3 innings and Tyler Yebba went 3 for 4 with three RBI on Saturday to lead Clewiston to an 11-3 victory in the opening round of the Dixie 14-year-old District 8 tournament at Okeechobee Sports Complex.

Clewiston scored eight runs in the first three innings to take control of the game. Pruitt and a pair of relievers then held off the AP bats to seal a first-round win for Clewiston.

Avon Park falls into the losers bracket and will face the loser of the Okeechobee/Sebring game at 1 p.m. Sunday. Clewiston will face the winner of that game at 7 p.m. on Sunday.
