EAST LAKELAND - Tyler Carr gave up just two earned runs, five hits and struck out 10 in six innings on the mound and Heath Harris hit a solo homer to lift Lake Placid to a 10-4 win over the West Volusia Nationals in the Dixie Youth Majors "O" Zone (ages 11-12) state tournament on Monday night.
LP added three insurances runs in the sixth to go up by six and Carr set West Volusia down in order to end the game.
With the win, Lake Placid will face the loser of the Monday night game between Marianna and West Seminole Nationals on Tuesday. Game time is at 6 p.m.
