LAKE PLACID - The Lake Placid girls soccer team extended its season on Tuesday night, securing a regional berth with a 1-0 victory over McKeel Academy in the Class 3A-District 8 tournament.
Ale Lopez had the lone goal in the game and the Green Dragon defense stepped up against a team LP had not beaten during the regular season.
LP now takes on top-seeded Frostproof on Friday at 7 p.m. at Roger Scarborough Field.
