WAUCHULA - The Sebring boys tennis team pulled out a victory before the rains washed out doubles matches on Monday, as the Blue Streaks cruised to a 5-0 blanking of Hardee in Class 4A-District 10 action.
No. 1-seeded team captain Jake Broen made short work of Hardee's Jake Crews 6-1, 6-2, while Sebring's No. 2 Michael Reed defeated Joel Porter 6-2, 2-6 and 10-3 in a tiebreaker.
No. 3-seed Abbi Seethafariah continued the Streaks' success with a 6-1, 4-6, 10-4 victory over Mike Torres, while Kyle Komisar knocked off Dusty Spears and Nikhal Raghaveera secured the sweep with a 6-2, 6-2 victory over Drew Maseth.
Doubles matches were cancelled because of rain.

The Sebring boys return to action on Thursday when they travel to DeSoto. Matches begin at 4 p.m. The Sebring girls host DeSoto on Thursday at 4 p.m and travel to Hardee on Monday.
The Avon Park tennis teams, meanwhile, take on Braden River on Thursday. The girls team, which had its matches cancelled due to weather on Monday, travels to Bradenton, while the boys host the Pirates at 4 p.m.
