AVON PARK - The Heartland will be well represented at the upcoming regional wrestling meet as 12 local wrestlers qualified with their performances at Friday's district meet.
The host Red Devils won four district championships, with Greg Gentry winning at 103 pounds, Charles Hubbard winning at 145, James Bland winning at 160 and Kemosi Hatten winning at 171. Sebring's Shanaan Spiegel won the Blue Streaks' lone district title at 152 pounds.
Regionals will be held Friday, Feb. 8 and Saturday, Feb. 9 at South Florida Community College.
