Elisha Klatt took advantage of a nice pass from Austin Brady and netted the Sebring soccer team's lone goal of the game in a 1-1 tie with the host Brahmans in the Okeechobee Holiday Tournament on Monday.
Sebring head coach Tim Boulay says the Streaks are peaking at the right time and he hopes to maintain the momentum after the holiday break.
"We've got one district game left with Braden River and we're hoping we can improve our standing in the district heading into the playoffs," Boulay said. "I like our team and the way we've been playing lately and I hope that playing over the holidays keeps us sharp."
The Streaks offense lately has been spread around to a number of different players, which Boulay says makes his team tough to stop.
"You can't just guard one or two guys on the field because we've got so many that can score," Boulay said. "That gives us an edge when it comes to one-on-one matchups and it shows we can score from all areas."
Sebring will take a break over the holidays and be back on the field Jan. 6 when they travel to face district foe Braden River.
NOTE: The LaBelle Holiday Tournament that was to feature the Avon Park girls basketball team was cancelled.
