ARCADIA - The Avon Park High School girls golf team kept its perfect record intact on Thursday by finishing first in a tri-match at The Bluffs Golf Course in Aracadia.
The Red Devils improved to 8-0 on the season by shooting a four-person, nine-hole score of 221.
DeSoto placed second with a 241 and Hardee finished third with a 250.
Avon Park competes in the Class 1A-District 16 tournament on Monday at The Bluffs and Red Devil coach Andrea Brown thinks her squad is peaking at the right time.
"The 221 was our best score of the season," she said. "The girls have been working hard on their games and we're looking forward to competing on Monday."
