Taking advantage of the recent rains in the Heartland, the talented duo of Bud Wester and Mike Shawver went on a birdie binge to win the Avon Park High School Project Graduation Golf Tournament.

Wester and Shawver combined to shoot an 11-under-par 61 to earn the first-place prize of $100, while Floyd Osborne and Alan Price placed second with a 64, after a match of cards with Tim and Charles Devlin.
The First Flight was won by Greg Kramer and Dennis Crews with a 67, after a match of cards with the team's of Rich Becerra and Robert Becerra, who finished second, and Lisa and Rodney Davis.
