The Adelaide Shores RV Resort Activities Committee held their annual 50th anniversary party last month.
A total of 12 couples celebrated their golden wedding anniversary this year. They included: Bob and Sharon Bassett, Judy and Dick Berry, Judy and Gene Brewer, Ed and Shirley Grant, Ron and Bonnie Hicks, Ron and Mary Jones, Carl and Jane Knoll, Jim and Sandy Norman, Jim and Janice Posta, Chuck and Elaine Slupe, George and Walteen Soucy and Gary and Karen Zimmerman.
The couples were introduced to the audience of approximately 150 who helped them celebrate the milestone anniversary. The emcee gave a short synopsis of each courtship, wedding and marriage - with a bit of humor - as well as information about their families and their careers.
After a toast to the couples, everyone had ice cream and cake. They also played a short version of the "Newlywed Game."
