The thought of turning to a third party is intriguing yet is also scary.
There is widespread disenchantment with both the Democrats and the Republicans in Washington. We see that many of them love the power of big government and the pleasure of spending the taxpayers' money! The perquisites of a career in office are an irresistible temptation.
A third party is not the answer, however.
The third party and the party they have abandoned are almost guaranteed to lose the next election, turning over the spoils to the other party.
It would be much better to find candidates for your party who will have the intestinal fortitude (AKA guts) to stand upon principles.
Every time our government turns away from our constitutional base, we find ourselves mired more deeply in the "Slough of Despond" (a little hint of "Pilgrim's Progress" there?)
Too many people seem to detest our country and are bent upon destroying it, but what is to happen to those of us who love this country?
We would like to keep what we have loved, or even to improve it. What would you gain by destroying it? Get on your knees America. We are about to lose our country!
