It is interesting to me anyway, that we can have special interest groups where the color of skin or national origin may be used to promote their ideals and to identify their superiority from a larger group.
This is true even when that group becomes the one in control. We have seen that throughout our history. We even see it in our government today with a Black Caucus. It seems to me that the cohesion of a society is often divided with reference to the factors that divide a minority from the majority. So it was also of great interest when I heard of an annual contest at Texas A&M University that asked for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term. This year's term was "Political Correctness."
Here is a quote from the winner that you might find interesting: (The word in parentheses is a slight modification for printability)
"Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a (waste) by the clean end."
It seems, to me anyway, that there may be great hope in understanding the division in our country by our younger generation compared to the job that we old people have done in trying to right a wrong.
