Standing up

I've been watching in the shadows for too long, hoping that others would fight the good fight for me so that I wouldn't have to. I can no longer do this. My eyes are open and what I see sends chills down my spine.

We wanted a government free of lies and corruption. Instead, I see one that is trying to become bigger, at our expense. I see the health care bill being forced upon us shrouded in secrecy; a bill that our elected officials didn't even bother to read before voting for it.

I see corruption and bribery running rampant with the very people we elected to serve us. I worry that our privacy and the life we know as American citizens is in serious jeopardy. But what worries me most is that so many are willing to sit idle allowing it to happen.

I am fearful for what lies ahead. It is time to awaken the sleeping giant within and join forces to keep our government from becoming so big that it can take away our rights and freedoms; freedoms that the men and women of our United States military are literally dying to preserve for us. If we don't stand up for what we believe in we could possibly lose the most precious rights we have. The freedoms supported in our Constitution.

The ideology of socialism is not freedom; it is the first step toward communism. As a concerned citizen, I have joined the Tea Party movement, a movement where patriotism rules. Join us in our quest to keep our country the great and free country we grew up in, so that our future generations may have and enjoy this same privilege.
