South Florida Community College's Dental Education program is celebrating National Children's Dental Health Month by offering free preventive health care to children ages 3-6 every Thursday in February. Services will be delivered at the SFCC Dental Clinic on the Highlands Campus.
Dental hygiene students in their final term of study will clean teeth, administer fluoride treatments, check for signs of oral disease, and take X-rays if required.
Appointments are required by calling the SFCC Dental Clinic at 784-7020. Callers may speak to the receptionist or leave a message.
"The SFCC Dental Education program is pleased to offer this service because it gives us an opportunity to improve the oral health of the children in our community as well as disseminate oral disease prevention information to parents," said Becky Sroda, director, Dental Education.
