The Lions Club member who was recently arrested for solicitation on federal government property needs to do his homework and read the law before he wastes any money on mounting a lawsuit against the USPS. Post office regulations are quite clear in prohibiting soliciting, begging, etc., on their property. His position that as a taxpayer he has the right to establish policies regarding the use of the post office building is frivolous. The Supreme Court has already ruled on this issue and any case he files will clearly be a waste of money that could be put to better use elsewhere.
People who choose to break the law, and then demand that the police are summoned and then further demand to be arrested generally get that exact result - arrested.
I personally like to be able to visit the post office without having to pass a gauntlet of beggars, solicitors, or political activists.
