Three charged with robbing man behind Sebring club

A Sebring man was robbed Friday by three men in a field on the north side of Club Mix, according to police.

Timothy Bryonshell Cannon, 19, of 733 Red Oak Ave., Dylan Earl Strickland, 18, of 3809 Hoyt Ave., and Adam Norman Wallace Jr., 19, of 558 Broad St., all of Sebring, were each charged with robbery with a weapon, a first-degree felony.

Strickland and Cannon were released Sunday and Monday, respectively, on a $5,000 bond each. Wallace remained in the Highlands County Jail Tuesday under a $15,000 bond.

The victim told Sebring Police Officer Daniel Cordero that he was talking on his cell phone and walking with his bicycle when the three men jumped out from behind a fence and attacked him.

Wallace allegedly knocked the man's cell phone out of his hand and then hit him in the chest with a wooden stick, according to the arrest report. The suspect then put the victim in a "choke hold," rendering him weak and making him feel like he was going to black out.

As Wallace kept the man in the choke hold, Strickland reportedly came up and started punching him in the stomach and face before taking his tri-colored gold necklace, valued at $600.

Strickland and Cannon then searched the man and took $620 in cash from his pockets and wallet, the report stated.

The two ran off toward Red Oak Avenue. Wallace threw him to the ground and threatened to go after his family if he called the police, according to the report.

All three were later found at 733 Red Oak Ave. after the victim said he knew Cannon because he'd seen him at that address. The man identified the suspects as the one who robbed him of his money and gold chain.
