Authorities say a fight between two brothers ended with a 10-year-old threatening his older sibling with a knife.
The juvenile was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without the intent to kill, a third-degree felony.
On Dec. 30, the 10-year-old started accusing his 13-year-old brother of taking one of his toys. The older sibling said he did not take it, and the younger brother got angry and started calling him names, according to the arrest report.
The young man reportedly charged at his brother, leading the 13-year-old to kick him in the stomach. At that point, the 10-year-old said, "You're dead," the report stated.
When the older brother ran toward the garage, he was greeted by his younger brother, who was allegedly standing at the garage door with a kitchen knife, "raised up in an aggressive manner," according to the report.
The two were close enough that the 13-year-old could have been struck by the knife. The 10-year-old was eventually arrested and taken to the Highlands County Jail without any further incident.
