Investigators were just beginning a death investigation Friday afternoon in Tanglewood after a body was found inside a home at 1010 Carefree Parkway.
Lt. Tim Lethbridge, with the Highlands County Sheriff's Office, said they were not releasing the name of the deceased pending the notification of next of kin.
Virtually no information was being released Friday around 4:15 p.m., as investigators had just begun their investigation.
The house was roped off with yellow tape as curious residents rode bicycles and golf carts up and down the street, trying to find out just what was happening in their neighborhood.

Ruth Musial, 68, has been arrested by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office after she allegedly killed her husband, then tried to take her own life.
At 2:31 p.m. Friday, Highlands County deputies were called to 1010 Carefree Parkway, in the Tanglewood community. They found Gerald Musial, 62, dead. His wife, Ruth, was flown by Aeromed helicopter to Tampa General Hospital.
After they searched the house, they realized a murder had occurred.
Ruth Musial is now in stable condition, said Sgt. Darin Hood. Her injuries were apparently self-inflicted. She is being held without bond.
Hood is not saying how the Musials were injured. An autopsy of Gerald Musial is pending.
Detectives worked throughout the night to establish probable cause to obtain an arrest warrant for Ruth Musial, Hood said. She will be charged with first degree murder.
Anyone with information about the case is requested to contact Det. Bob Neale at 402-7250.
