It's the first time I've seen the bare carpet from wall to wall, bare walls from floor to ceiling and it just doesn't look right. The lights are harsh with no displays, signs, customers or furniture to break down the glare. The lights have to be on, one more time, to make sure there is no damage to the property; nothing of importance left behind; to sign the paperwork and turn in the keys: The official termination of FYE in Sebring.
My wife and I have seen nine Christmas seasons in Lakeshore Mall and FYE was always one of the nicest stores to visit; if they didn't have it, they could find it. The FYE folks always had it over other stores, they had personalities, knew the entertainment business and weren't out for the almighty dollar.
The FYE CEO is out for the dollar; he doesn't see much profit in Sebring. He must think Sebring can handle a little more unemployment and a bit less entertainment. Now about those lights...
